Oak Street Health is seeking a highly skilled Medical Scribe to join our team. As a Medical Scribe, you will play a critical role in supporting our primary care providers by handling clinical data responsibilities during patient visits.

Key Responsibilities

  • Observe and record patient encounters and examinations
  • Document patient information, history, and diagnoses
  • Assist in medical management and documentation
  • Consult with the care team and other providers on patient needs
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to type 70+ words per minute
  • Basic level of medical knowledge and/or willingness to learn quickly
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Excellent job attendance and punctuality
  • Ability to work approximately 40-45 hours per week with predictable hours and protected break times
  • Compliance with hospital and Oak Street Health policies, including HIPAA
  • Fluency in Spanish, Polish, Russian, or other languages spoken by people in the communities we serve (where necessary)
  • US work authorization
