We are seeking an experienced Environmental Health and Safety Leader to join our team at Henderson Products. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining our safety initiatives, policies, and culture.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and Implement Safety Programs: Create and implement safety standards, criteria, and guidelines to ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory agencies.
- Conduct Training and Development: Schedule and conduct training sessions for employees on general safety awareness, supervisor safety training, fall protection, electrical safety, and other job-specific training.
- Lead Safety Incident Investigations: Investigate safety incidents to determine root cause, corrective, and preventive actions.
- Establish Ergonomic and Injury Management Programs: Develop and manage ergonomic, injury case management, and return-to-work programs.
- Interface with Functional Teams: Collaborate with functional teams to ensure risk management methodologies are incorporated into all facets of operation.
- Complete Business Unit Visits and Inspections: Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with Henderson safety programs.
- Oversee Hazardous Chemicals and Waste Storage: Ensure proper storage, labeling, and disposal of hazardous chemicals and waste.
- Responsible for Risk Assessment and Analysis: Conduct regular risk assessments and analysis to identify potential hazards and develop corrective actions.
- Knowledge of OSHA, DOT, and Environmental Laws: Possess knowledge of OSHA, DOT, and environmental laws and regulations.
- Technological Skills: Proficient in Microsoft products, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Leadership and Communication Skills: Demonstrate leadership and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Health, Safety, Business, or related field. Minimum of 3 years' experience in safety, employee relations, industrial hygiene, environmental compliance, or equivalent.
