Job Summary:

As a Computed Tomography Technologist at SSM Health, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality imaging services to patients. This position requires a strong understanding of radiology principles and the ability to operate complex imaging equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate computed tomography scanners to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
  • Position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately to ensure optimal image quality.
  • Implement radiation protection and safety standards to minimize patient exposure.
  • Prepare and administer contrast media and medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
  • Assist physicians in special and advanced procedures, such as CT-guided biopsies and interventions.
  • Ensure all activities comply with regulatory agency standards, including HIPAA and Joint Commission requirements.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly department, including procedure rooms, storage areas, and dressing rooms.
  • Work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner, adhering to SSM Health's safety protocols.

Requirements:

  • Completion of a radiology certification program or registration in radiology.
  • No experience required, but prior experience in radiology or a related field is preferred.
  • Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (BLS HCP) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • ARRT-CT Computed Tomography certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
