About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team at the Big Lots Behavioral Health Pavilion at Nationwide Children's Hospital. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality, patient-centered care to children and adolescents with mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patients to determine developmental or functional status using standardized measures or clinical observations.
  • Administer therapeutic treatment to patients with developmental delay or functional deficits, providing optimal development, function, and independence.
  • Fabricate, recommend, or provide adaptive equipment, splints, or casts to maintain functional body joint positions, restrict muscle contractures, prevent deformities, and improve function or mobility.
  • Document evaluation results, objective status, progress towards goals, treatment plans, and recommendations.
  • Communicate and collaborate with families, physicians, third-party payors, and relevant healthcare providers.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in occupational therapy.
  • Registered by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy.
  • Licensed by the State of Ohio.
  • One year occupational therapy work experience in a pediatric setting preferred or clinical affiliation in area of pediatrics.
Work Environment

This is a part-time role, 20 hours per week, with two 10-hour shifts. The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a team of dedicated professionals who share a passion for delivering exceptional patient care.
