Job DescriptionMichigan Institute of Urology is seeking a skilled Certified Phlebotomist to join our team. As a Phlebotomy Specialist, you will be responsible for verifying patient identification, explaining specimen collection procedures, and performing venipuncture. You will also be responsible for labeling, dating, and recording specimens obtained, as well as ensuring timely delivery to the laboratory for culture and analysis. Additionally, you will maintain patient confidentiality and work collaboratively with the urological team. Requirements include being a Certified Phlebotomist, having 6 months of Phlebotomy experience, and preferably having experience with Electrical Medical Records.

Responsibilities
  • Verify patient identification
  • Explain specimen collection procedures
  • Perform venipuncture
  • Label, date, and record specimens obtained
  • Ensure timely delivery to the laboratory
  • Maintain patient confidentiality
  • Work collaboratively with the urological team


Requirements
  • Certified Phlebotomist
