As a Cardio Thoracic ICU RN, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, collaborating with the interdisciplinary team, and contributing to the overall success of the unit.
Responsibilities:- Provide direct patient care to post-operative CABG adult patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
- Manage complex medical conditions, such as acute coronary syndrome, CHF, and multi-system organ failure.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care transitions.
- 2 years of experience in a Cardio Thoracic ICU or CVICU setting.
- AHA ACLS and BLS certifications.
- NIHSS certification.
- EPIC proficiency.
- Travel experience preferred.
The Cardio Thoracic ICU is a 8-bed unit that utilizes a universal bed model, allowing for seamless transitions between ICU and step-down care. The unit is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including Hemosphere, Quantum, and Accuryn.
