Behavioral Therapist PRN Inpatient Position

Job Summary:

As a Behavioral Therapist PRN Inpatient, you will provide direct clinical services to patients in a timely fashion, adhering to accepted standards of social/work clinical practice. This role requires a strong understanding of mental illness and chemical dependency, as well as the ability to assess and interpret data about patient status.

Key Responsibilities:

Provides direct clinical services, including assessment, interventions, treatment planning, and discharge planning.
Conducts individual, family, and/or group therapy sessions as assigned by the Director of Social Services or physician's order.
Assesses and interprets completion of Comprehensive Integrated Assessment - (Biopsychosocial) within 72 hours of admission.
Reviews all Multidisciplinary assessments and compiles a Multidisciplinary Treatment Integration under the supervision of the attending physician within 96 hours of admission.
Performs case management and discharge planning as assigned by the Director of Social Services.
Attends treatment team meetings and reports on assigned patients and their progress toward treatment goals.

Requirements:

Must be a Clinical Social Worker (CSW), LMSW, LCSW, LPC, or Psychologist with 0 to 1 year post-graduate experience in clinical practice.
Must have completed at least two semesters of internship, one of which must have been with a specific mentally ill population.
Must demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to any age-related disability-related needs of the patients served on assignment.
Must be able to assess and interpret data about patient status in order to identify each patient's needs and provide the appropriate care.

Working Environment:

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with occasional pressure due to multiple calls and inquiries. The candidate must be able to cope mentally and physically with the atmosphere and be able to work with an array of mental/physical disabled persons.
