Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an entry-level insurance claims trainee. In this role, you will work closely with experienced claims handlers to develop your skills and knowledge in claims investigation, evaluation, and settlement. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in mathematics and analytical skills, with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Responsibilities
The responsibilities of this role include:
- Investigating and evaluating insurance claims to determine coverage and liability
- Communicating with claimants, agents, and other stakeholders to resolve claims
- Developing and maintaining accurate records and reports
- Staying up-to-date on company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
- Participating in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need to meet the following requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in property/casualty claims handling
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in mathematical calculations
- A valid driver's license and a safe driving record
Compensation and Benefits
As an employee of Auto-Owners Insurance, you can expect a competitive compensation package, including a starting base pay range of $50,000.00 - $81,500.00 per year, plus bonuses and benefits. You will also receive generous paid time off, including holidays, vacation days, personal time, and sick leave.
