We are currently in search of a Child/Adolescent Psychiatrist to deliver mental health evaluations, diagnoses, therapeutic interventions, and crisis management for young clients presenting a variety of psychiatric concerns.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychiatric assessments as required for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
  • Formulate individualized treatment strategies based on the client's emotional, social, cognitive, developmental, or behavioral challenges.
  • Utilize psychotherapeutic techniques and pharmacological treatments, monitoring medication effects and making necessary adjustments.
  • Assess the need for psychotropic medications and prescribe accordingly.
  • Maintain comprehensive clinical documentation, including treatment modalities and medications provided.
  • Collaborate with insurance and third-party entities to supply necessary medical information for clients.
  • Engage in a collaborative care model, working alongside a multidisciplinary team of clinicians to provide behavioral health insights.
  • Document client progress and treatment in compliance with state regulations and accepted community standards, with opportunities to develop psychoeducational programs.
  • Availability to work 30 hours per week.

Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited medical institution.
  • Completion of a psychiatric residency and specialized training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry accredited by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
  • Possession of a valid Florida medical license.
  • Certification in general psychiatry and licensure in child psychiatry.
  • Active DEA registration in the State of Florida.
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing evidence-based practices in mental and behavioral health.
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience treating children and adolescents across various settings.
  • At least 1 year of experience providing medication management to child and adolescent patients, with a strong foundation in psychopharmacology.
  • Experience collaborating with leading psychiatrists, psychologists, and clinicians in an office environment.
  • Proficient in working with children, adolescents, and families during crisis situations.
  • Strong skills in documentation and record-keeping.
  • Familiarity with telehealth platforms for virtual consultations.
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Understanding of the cultural needs of a Jewish community.
