Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and develop personalized treatment plans for patients.
- Provide ongoing medication management and risk assessment to ensure patient health and safety.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement treatment plans.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest regulations and best practices in mental health and substance abuse treatment.
- Provide on-call coverage and respond to emergencies as needed.
- Develop and lead in-services and training programs for staff on topics such as co-occurring disorders and psychotropic medication management.
- Active Nurse Practitioner license.
- Oregon PMHNP licensure with psychiatric privileges and license privileges to prescribe medications.
- Relevant background in prescribing psychiatric medication to individuals with co-occurring substance use disorders.
- Comprehensive knowledge of integrated approaches to mental health and addiction treatment.
- Knowledge of regulations and laws governing mental health and addiction services, ethics, and confidentiality.
- Experience working in a residential or outpatient treatment setting.
- Knowledge of electronic medical records systems and basic computer skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
