Job Summary

CODA is seeking a highly skilled Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our team. As a key member of our mental health services, you will provide comprehensive psychiatric care to patients in our residential and outpatient treatment programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and develop personalized treatment plans for patients.
  • Provide ongoing medication management and risk assessment to ensure patient health and safety.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement treatment plans.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest regulations and best practices in mental health and substance abuse treatment.
  • Provide on-call coverage and respond to emergencies as needed.
  • Develop and lead in-services and training programs for staff on topics such as co-occurring disorders and psychotropic medication management.
Requirements
  • Active Nurse Practitioner license.
  • Oregon PMHNP licensure with psychiatric privileges and license privileges to prescribe medications.
  • Relevant background in prescribing psychiatric medication to individuals with co-occurring substance use disorders.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of integrated approaches to mental health and addiction treatment.
  • Knowledge of regulations and laws governing mental health and addiction services, ethics, and confidentiality.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a residential or outpatient treatment setting.
  • Knowledge of electronic medical records systems and basic computer skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
