Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist to join our team at Memorial Hermann Health System. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for performing high-quality CT scans to create detailed images of internal organs and tissues, which will be used by physicians to diagnose and treat patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for CT scans, explaining the procedure and administering contrast when necessary
  • Position patients for the CT scan, selecting appropriate imaging techniques, and ensuring technical quality of the scan
  • Enter and monitor patient data, performing quality assurance on CT equipment
  • Identify and report any accidents, complaints, or equipment malfunctions to department management
  • Take emergency calls within the department and may be required to work weekends and float to other locations as needed
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology
  • Certified in Basic or Advanced Life Support
  • Current license or temporary license by the Texas Medical Board (MRT)
  • Registered CT Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-CT) or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB(CT)) in computed tomography
  • Minimum of one year of experience as a Computed Tomography Technologist or two years of experience as a Radiological Technologist with CT education or experience
