Job Title: Staff Geologist II

This role is part of our team at Roux Associates, where we provide environmental investigation and remediation services. We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Geologist II to assist our project team and Project Manager in providing field support and technical assistance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the coordination and implementation of field project work, including drilling, monitoring, sampling, and treatment system operations.
  • Prepare technical reports by coordinating figures, data tables, site descriptions, and other necessary details.
  • Analyze field data and project work to ensure effective project completion.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field.
  • Minimum of 1 year of environmental consulting experience.
  • Proficient in performing various routine field activities, including sampling techniques, overseeing subcontractors, and managing junior field staff.
  • Experience with drilling techniques and collecting soil, groundwater, and vapor samples.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently in the field.
  • Preliminary data evaluation and analytical skills.
  • Ability to assist in the preparation of routine deliverables.
Physical Demands/Work Environment:

This position involves working predominantly in the field, often in outdoor environments with varying terrains and weather conditions. The role requires the ability to drive to different project sites, physically move around, and use hand-held monitoring instruments and tools.
