Concrete Sculptor

About the Role:

This is a unique opportunity to join GeoStabilization International as a Senior Technician specializing in custom concrete projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for sculpting vertical concrete walls made of shotcrete, working on varied surfaces, and maintaining a clean and organized construction site.

Responsibilities:

• Sculpting vertical concrete walls made of shotcrete
• Working on varied surfaces such as stacked stone, geologic, and ashlar
• Reading and determining measurements
• Maintaining a clean and organized construction site
• Working together in a team environment
• Learning to operate rock drills
• Operating construction equipment such as excavators, all-terrain forklifts, man lifts, skid steers, and front-end loaders

Qualifications:

• Basic qualifications include prior concrete experience, such as a concrete finisher or form builder, or shotcrete experience
• Ability to travel at least 3 weeks out of every month
• Reliability and a strong work ethic
• Enthusiastically working with a diverse team

Work Environment:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Climates vary in degrees, in tropical to desert environments. The noise level in the work environment is moderate and hearing protection is often required. Exposure to characteristic construction site dangers. Regular heavy lifting (50lbs+) of construction materials on the job site. Travel:

100% travelling in the Eastern US (East of the Mississippi River). Employees are expected to work a 3 weeks on, 1 week off schedule.

Pay:

$24-$28/hr. In 2023, individuals in this role, with overtime, made the equivalent of over $30/hr.
