CADD Operator

RK&K is seeking a skilled CADD Operator to support our Environmental & Transportation projects in our Keyser, WV office.

• Develop computer-generated drawings based on engineering sketches and direction
• Prepare contract drawings and color renderings, adhering to company and client CADD standards
• Support project research, agency requirements, and drawing preparation
• Organize CADD files, draft design plans, and details
• Use computer-aided drafting software to develop layouts, drawings, and designs meeting engineering specifications
• Support engineers and designers through tasks like proposal drawings, red marks, and sketches
• Interact with engineers and designers to update/correct drawings during the design process
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings
• Review engineering drawings, analyze design, and retrieve information to complete drawings, layouts, or designs
• Use detail drawing or engineering specifications to dimension, scale, or line locate

• Ability to read and interpret basic technical documents and apply drafting/CADD techniques
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to effectively present information to individuals and groups
• Knowledgeable of CADD software applications (AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or MicroStation OpenRoads)
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Continuing education, technical, or college-level training in CADD
• Experience in an Architectural, Engineering, and Construction industry
• Must understand basic geometry/trigonometry
• One year experience in drafting for a civil engineering firm is preferred
• Must be detail-oriented and able to follow QA/QC procedures
