Copper River Native Association is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant I to join our team. As a key member of our dental team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to our dentists and hygienists.
Key Responsibilities- Clinical Support: Assist dentists and hygienists with patient preparation, chair-side assistance, and record keeping.
- Instrument Maintenance: Clean and sterilize dental equipment and instruments using autoclave according to infection control standards.
- Supply Management: Store and maintain adequate supplies in dental work areas at all times.
- Radiography: Make dental radiographs as prescribed by dentists and evaluate finished radiographs for diagnostic acceptability.
- Communication: Review health history with patients, explain post-treatment instructions, and provide excellent customer service.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Six (6) months previous Dental Assistant or Dental Assistant Trainee experience, or completion of a formal Dental Assistant Program.
- Certifications: Current CPR/First Aid or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
The work is generally sedentary, requiring routine walking, standing, bending, and carrying of items weighing less than 25 lbs. The majority of work is performed in a clinical office setting with a wide variety of people with differing functions, personalities, and abilities.
