Forensic Accounting Director

Ankura Consulting Group, LLC is seeking a seasoned professional to lead our Forensic Accounting and Insurance Claims Consulting practice. As a Managing Director, you will be responsible for driving business growth, developing strategic relationships, and delivering high-quality services to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:- Originate business and collaborate with senior leaders to sell and deliver engagements that generate significant revenue
- Participate in business development initiatives, including targeting external clients, attending industry conferences, and speaking engagements
- Oversee work across multiple engagements and ensure timely delivery of high-quality services
- Effectively communicate with clients and engagement teams to set expectations and manage timelines
- Provide guidance on overall communication strategy and key messaging
- Establish and maintain relationships with senior client executives
- Lead Ankura teams and clients to achieve business objectives
- Adhere to corporate business engagement risk protocols and manage team performance
- Manage a team of early-career professionals, including training and mentoring
- Actively participate in performance management, including goal setting, calibration sessions, and formal evaluations
- Develop thought leadership in the industry through speaking events and written content
- Identify and recruit key talent into Ankura
- Minimum years of relevant experience in public accounting and/or litigation/disputes work
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, or related field; master's degree or CPA a plus
- Strong commercial leadership skills, with a proven track record of driving revenue growth and capturing market share
- Deep market-making relationships across the relevant insurance brokers and law firms
- Expertise in defining, influencing, and driving change at executive levels and across the broader community of stakeholders
- Exceptional negotiation skills with complex/sophisticated situations involving executive and senior-level stakeholders
- High energy style, flexible, and adaptive, with the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to adapt to complex client environments and situations
- Proven track record of effectively planning for and proactively mitigating risks on engagements
- Expert written communication skills, self-directed, with preparation of client-ready documents and presentation development
- Articulate, persuasive communicator, adept at handling executive and difficult audiences
