This is a Contract position with potential for extension, offering an excellent opportunity to engage with a leading healthcare organization.

Location: Astoria, OR

Job Type: Initial contract with potential for extension

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 08:00 am – 05:00 pm

Compensation: $17-$22 (Compensation will be determined based on qualifications, experience, and healthcare credentials.)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform blood draws, label specimens, centrifuge samples, maintain records, and ensure decontamination.
  • Collect and preserve specimens in accordance with established protocols.
  • Clearly explain the venipuncture process and other specimen collection methods to patients.
  • Demonstrate proficiency with straight and butterfly needles.
  • Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as per testing requirements.
  • Package specimens appropriately for transport.
  • Store samples at the required temperatures and ensure accurate labeling and adherence to transport protocols.

Qualifications:

  • At least 6 months of experience in phlebotomy; over a year preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

*Compensation will be based on qualifications, experience, and healthcare credentials.
