We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Warehouse Packer to join our team at Gordon Food Service. As a key member of our warehouse team, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently packing products for transport.
Key Responsibilities- Read and analyze daily load sheets to ensure accurate packing
- Use PIV to transport non-conveyable items when needed
- Assess space available in trailers and retrieve cases from the conveyor
- Safely organize cases on the trailer, fitting and blocking cases to prevent damage
- Secure loads to prevent damage during transit
- Separate grocery, cooler, and freezer items and pack accordingly
- Offer assistance to other team members as needed
- Complete housekeeping activities on a daily basis, including removing pallets and cleaning up boxes
- Ability to perform physically demanding work for extended periods
- Ability to maintain a fast work pace and meet productivity standards
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Adherence to all safety regulations and procedures
- Basic math skills, including the ability to multiply, divide, subtract, and add mentally and on paper
