Job OverviewPosition Summary and Key Responsibilities:

The respiratory therapist is expected to embody the mission and standards of conduct of the healthcare institution. This role involves executing fundamental competencies during the orientation phase and delivering effective respiratory therapy with minimal oversight. Key responsibilities include:

  • Administering mechanical ventilation
  • Delivering medicated aerosol treatments
  • Conducting airway clearance procedures
  • Monitoring patient conditions
  • Providing oxygen and humidity therapy
  • Performing specialized tasks (such as CPR, handling specialty gases, assisting in bronchoscopy, and patient transport)
Qualifications

Educational Background:

An Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Respiratory Therapy is required.

Licensure and Certification:

· Must be a Registered Respiratory Therapist.

· Must hold a valid license to practice respiratory therapy in the state of Ohio.

Preferred Experience:

A minimum of one year of recent clinical experience is preferred. Previous employment in a hospital setting is also advantageous.

Work Schedule:

This position entails 18 night hours per week, from Monday to Friday, with rotating weekends and holidays.

Incentives:

Employees hired for 16-34 hours per week may be eligible for a sign-on bonus of $5,000, distributed as follows: $1,500 after 90 days of employment and $3,500 after one year, contingent on performance.
