We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Energy Engineer/Project Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and driving energy efficiency, sustainability, and decarbonization projects from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities

* Act as a technical project manager for energy efficiency, sustainability, and decarbonization projects
* Interact with a broad range of client staff, including C-suite, senior-level facilities personnel, and maintenance management teams as required
* Provide Quality Assurance / Quality Control service reviewing and overseeing ESCO proposals and Investment Grade Audits; including their Measurement & Verification, Commissioning, O&M, and Training plans, energy savings calculations, energy models, ECM cost build-up, markups, and energy escalations
* Manage and drive pre-qualification and/or preliminary assessment studies to identify energy efficiency, sustainability, and decarbonization opportunities
* Manage and/or conduct walk-through audits of large commercial/industrial/institutional facilities to identify energy conservation opportunities, recommend steps to investigate and implement the opportunities, and provide written reports of findings
* Manage, and occasionally attend/witness, M&V and Commissioning and acceptance testing activities for large scale energy projects
* Prepare assessments of feasibility study reports and investment grade audits completed by ESCOs to ensure technical viability of proposed energy conservation measures and energy saving capital projects to generate the anticipated energy and process improvements; assessments include review of baseline conditions/calculations, ECM savings calculations, and ECM scopes, M&V approach/plans, capital cost estimates, operating parameters, engineering drawings and project submittals
* Prepare necessary project level reports to manage and monitor energy project development, implementation, and performance
* Collaboratively work with the multi-disciplinary engineering team to ensure reviews and recommendations are completed to professional standards
* Review and comment on Commissioning Reports, M&V Reports, and other Close-Out documentation
* Provide assistance/insight/guidance to Owners and ESCO Teams regarding planned approach to execution of an ESPC Project
* Keep abreast of technology trends and changes in this rapidly evolving market
* Assist the business development team with identifying new market opportunities

Qualifications

NV5 offers a competitive compensation and benefits package including medical, dental, life insurance, PTO, 401(k) and professional development/advancement opportunities. The pay range for this California position is $120,000.00 to $150,000.00 per year; however, base pay offered may be higher or lower depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience of the candidate. Restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
