Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Maintenance Assistant to join our team at Maravilla Santa Barbara. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the day-to-day operations of our property are running smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Exterior Building Maintenance: Maintain the cleanliness of exterior building areas, including emptying trash containers and cleaning and polishing surfaces.
  • Cleaning and Restaging: Clean and restage outdoor furnishings and common areas, ensuring they are tidy and well-maintained.
  • Resident Support: Assist residents with package delivery, transportation of trash and waste, and other tasks as needed.
  • Maintenance Tasks: Assist the Maintenance Director with various maintenance tasks, including replacing light bulbs and performing minor repairs.
  • Grounds Maintenance: Assist with the maintenance of outside grounds and parking areas, including litter pickup and debris removal.
  • Administrative Support: Assist with administrative tasks, such as delivering messages and transporting small equipment or tools between departments.
Requirements
  • Education: Less than high school education; or up to one year related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence and effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
