Your Director of Nursing is readily available for support, ensuring you have 24/7 access to clinical resources whenever needed.

A Day in the Life of a Care Options for Kids Nurse

Your day starts with a brief meeting with your care team, which may include parents or the nurse you are succeeding.

Throughout your shift, you will administer medications and provide essential tracheostomy and gastrostomy tube care, meticulously documenting each procedure in our electronic health record system for effective communication with your team.

As your client enjoys a restful afternoon nap, you will finalize your electronic documentation and connect with the incoming nurse before wrapping up your shift.

Each day as a Care Options for Kids nurse feels less like work and more like caring for a family member.

Responsibilities of Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs)
  • Providing one-on-one nursing care in a home environment
  • Collaborating with the clinical team under the guidance of a registered nurse

  • Adhering to all clinical and office protocols
Requirements for Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs)
  • Valid Pennsylvania LPN License or Multistate License
  • Recent TB Test
  • Current BLS CPR Certification (in-person training required)
