Job Title: Educator of Music and Theater

Job Summary:

Spectrum 360 A NJ Non Profit Corp. is seeking a dedicated and skilled Educator of Music and Theater to join our team. As a key member of our educational staff, you will be responsible for developing and implementing music and theater programs that foster learning and personal growth in students.



Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a music and theater curriculum aligned with applicable NJ Student Learning Standards.
  • Design and deliver lesson plans and instructional materials that provide individualized and small group instruction adapted to the educational needs of each student.
  • Plan class activities and lesson presentations that meet the individual needs, interests, and ability levels of all students.
  • Monitor student academic progress and social/emotional growth, maintaining records of progress through written reports and a report card.
  • Maintain standards of student behavior through the implementation of the school's positive behavior support system and individual behavior plan when indicated.
  • Attend and participate in all meetings as directed by their supervisor.
  • Complete and maintain current training in crisis management procedures and interventions.


Requirements:

  • New Jersey Teacher of Music certification is required.
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of NJSLS for music, effective teaching methods, and appropriate developmental instructional and classroom management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Successful experience working with individuals with ASD and Developmental Disabilities.
  • Experience directing school performances.
  • Experience instructing small group instrumental lessons.
