Key Responsibilities
  • Provide professional nursing care to patients in the Intermediate Care Unit, utilizing the framework of the nursing process and patient-family centered care principles.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring seamless transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Monitor and manage patient acuity, responding promptly to changes in patient condition and escalating concerns as necessary.
  • Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices.
  • Engage in ongoing education and professional development, staying current with best practices and advancements in cardiac care.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN)
  • Current RN licensure in the state of Michigan
  • AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within 6 months
  • 1 year of experience as an RN in the ICU or a related field
