Position Overview:

The role involves providing engineering support to integrate communication systems within naval aviation platforms. The selected candidate will contribute technical expertise to enhance the capabilities of communication systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize engineering methodologies to assess, analyze, design, and implement military communication systems.
  • Prepare and review technical documentation, including engineering analyses, reports, and change proposals.
  • Engage in system integration, configuration management, and quality assurance testing.
  • Evaluate and analyze designs to ensure compliance with military functional requirements.
  • Develop standardized procedures and work instructions to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Assess technical specifications and performance criteria for communication systems.
  • Contribute to the development of test plans and procedures, providing insights and recommendations as necessary.

Qualifications:

U.S. Citizenship is mandatory due to the nature of the work. A Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or an Engineering discipline is required, with a preference for candidates holding a 4-year ABET accredited Engineering Degree and a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.

An Interim Secret security clearance is necessary from the start of employment.

Preferred candidates will have at least 3 years of experience in Navy Test and Evaluation Planning and execution.

Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential. Familiarity with the Department of Defense (DOD) System Engineering Technical Review (SETR) process and Naval Test Procedures is advantageous. Proficiency in MS-Word, MS-Excel, and MS-PowerPoint is expected.

Preferred Experience:

Experience in Electronics Countermeasure Systems for a minimum of 3 years is desirable.
