Critical Care Transport Nurse

Position Overview:
The Critical Care Transport Nurse plays a vital role in delivering and overseeing critical care interventions and patient transport within a healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide pre-hospital Basic and Advanced Life Support to patients in need.
- Deliver comprehensive patient care within the hospital setting.
- Ensure safe assessment, treatment, and transportation of patients of diverse ages and backgrounds experiencing severe medical conditions.
Additionally, this role requires meticulous completion of essential documentation and active support of efficient emergency medical services operations.
Qualifications:
- Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program and hold a valid Registered Nurse license in NJ.
- A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
- Candidates should possess a minimum of one year of experience in critical care nursing, with prior experience as a SCTU Transport Nurse considered advantageous.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in EMS driving and bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish are desirable.
Certifications:
- Required certifications include CEN or CCRN, a valid NJ driver's license, AHA BLS for Healthcare Provider, ACLS, and PALS.
- Specialty certifications as outlined in NJAC 8:41-1.1 et seq are mandatory.
- Awareness of Incident Command System and NIMS is preferred, and MICN certification must be acquired within the first year of employment.
