Rigger Job Description

Zachry Group is seeking a skilled Rigger to join our team. As a Rigger, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient lifting and movement of heavy equipment and materials.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and plan lifts using the weight of the load, lifting capacity of equipment, and other relevant information.
  • Attach loads using slings, chains, shackles, hooks, cables, and other rigging equipment.
  • Signal equipment operators during lifts to ensure safe and accurate placement.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
  • Conduct regular equipment inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
Requirements:
  • 4+ years of experience as a Journeyman Rigger.
  • NCCER Advanced Rigging assessment completion.
  • Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Basic knowledge of arithmetic and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • NCCCO certification for Rigging.
  • Experience working with Zachry Industrial, Inc.
  • Industrial Ironworker experience.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, sit, and lift up to 50lbs.
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions while wearing personal protective equipment.
