Job Description:

As a Jail Healthcare Specialist, your responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating patient care using a multidisciplinary approach to the nursing process
  • Providing medical care to inmates and responding to medical emergencies during shifts
  • Determining the need for attention from a healthcare provider and scheduling medical visits as needed
  • Consulting with medical providers on healthcare issues and providing emergency first aid

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of a Diploma in Nursing
  • A current Florida RN License
  • BLS certification
