Job Title: Travel Nurse RN Med Surg

We are seeking a skilled Travel Nurse RN Med Surg to join our team at Travel Nurse Across America. As a Travel Nurse RN Med Surg, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of patients, including pre- and post-op patients, and provide bedside care in a fast-paced environment.

Job Description:
  • Provide patient care and support to patients with a range of medical conditions, including surgical patients.
  • Conduct patient assessments and prioritize data collection based on patients' immediate conditions or needs.
  • Prepare, administer, and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions to treatment.
  • Change dressings, insert catheters, and start IVs as needed.
  • Prepares equipment and aids physician during examination and treatment of patient.
  • Educate patients on surgical procedures and provide support to patients and their families.
  • Participate in discharge planning and initiates patient education plan as prescribed by physician.
Requirements:
  • BLS, ACLS, NIH, 2 Years
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty.
  • Ability to lift 20 pounds and move or lift patients up to 50 pounds at times.
