About the Role:

The Sanitation Operations Specialist is a key member of the Barry Callebaut team, responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of our manufacturing facility and office areas. This role plays a critical part in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment, while also ensuring compliance with local and federal regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for cleaning and sanitizing all areas of the facility, including exterior, washrooms, restrooms, and office spaces.
  • Ensure all cleaning activities are completed in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Food Safety Regulations.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork and training to comply with existing and new requirements.
  • Participate in Blood-borne Pathogens and glass cleanup programs.
  • Collaborate with the team to maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalency.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in food manufacturing.
  • Strong teamwork and cooperation skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations and work effectively with a variety of individuals and groups.
  • Exposure to excessive noise, heat, cold, and dust.
  • Ability to move freely throughout the manufacturing facility.
  • Mild chemical exposure.
