Position: Electrical & Instrumentation Technician (E&I Tech)
Summary:
JCSI is on the lookout for a proficient Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) Technician to enhance our operations. This pivotal role involves the installation, upkeep, troubleshooting, and calibration of electrical, instrumentation, and control systems within our facilities. Your technical skills will be essential in guaranteeing the safe and efficient functioning of our operations, thereby supporting our dedication to sustainable practices and energy efficiency.
Core Responsibilities:
- Maintenance & Troubleshooting:
- Conduct preventive maintenance, repairs, and calibration on electrical and instrumentation systems to ensure peak performance and reduce downtime.
- Technical Proficiency:
- Leverage technical documentation, including P&IDs, loop sheets, motor elementaries, and PLC/DCS control logic, to effectively diagnose and rectify equipment issues with minimal oversight.
- Safety & Compliance:
- Adhere to all Federal, State, and Company regulations, including lockout/tagout protocols, while maintaining the highest safety and environmental standards.
- Operational Support:
- Provide emergency repair assistance during off-hours and be prepared to travel to other facilities as necessary, along with undertaking additional responsibilities as required.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Identify and recommend opportunities for operational enhancements and assist in the training and development of junior technicians.
- Equipment Operation:
- Operate industrial forklifts, manlifts, skid steers, and other mobile equipment as needed to facilitate operations.
Essential Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- A minimum of 6 years of experience in Electrical and Instrumentation Maintenance within the Industrial or Power Industry, or 2 years as a 2nd Class E&I Technician.
- Possession of all necessary licenses and certifications in compliance with State, Environmental, and Federal regulations.
- Strong knowledge of steam plant systems and turbine generator controls.
