Role Summary: As the Healthcare Facilities Management Director, you will oversee the management of Plant Operations and Maintenance Departments within a hospital environment. Your leadership will be crucial in planning, prioritizing, and controlling the functions and activities aligned with our service contract.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess and enhance existing programs, services, policies, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with hospital clients and staff to strategize and communicate essential programs and policies.
  • Ensure the quality and efficiency of work aligns with facility standards.
  • Develop and manage departmental budgets, including energy-saving initiatives.
  • Guarantee compliance with regulatory standards set by the Joint Commission, State Health Department, and other relevant agencies.
  • Supervise personnel performance and conduct performance evaluations.
  • Provide guidance on personnel and employee relations programs.
  • Oversee the planning and execution of construction and facility development projects.
  • Evaluate and recommend approval for construction plans.
  • Act as a liaison with contractors, architects, engineers, and suppliers.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a director-level role within engineering, maintenance, or construction in a healthcare setting.
  • Proven experience in Facilities Management within an acute care hospital is essential.
  • Proficiency in CMMS, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook is required.
  • Certification as a Health Care Facility Manager (CHFM) is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare building systems including mechanical, structural, and electrical.
  • Familiarity with NFPA, TJC, CMS, DNV, EPA, and OSHA regulations is necessary.
