Responsibilities
  • Conduct medically prescribed physical therapy interventions under the guidance of a physical therapist.
  • Perform therapy interventions using techniques and skills tailored to the patient's needs.
  • Document treatment interventions provided to patients.
  • Coordinate activities of physical therapy aides, students, and other support personnel.
  • Work in a safe and alert manner at all times.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Physical Therapist Assistant program.
  • No prior experience required.
Physical Requirements
  • Constant standing.
  • Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
  • Frequent use of hearing and speech to communicate with patients and colleagues.
  • Frequent use of vision for distances near and far.
  • Frequent walking, reaching, gripping, and keyboard use/data entry.
  • Occasional bending, stooping, climbing, kneeling, sitting, squatting, twisting, and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.
  • Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.

  • Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) - Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services.
