Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Traffic Control Flagger to join our team at Wright, a family-owned and operated business dedicated to employee and customer satisfaction for over 40 years.

This is an entry-level position that offers on-the-job training, weekly pay, overtime, and raises for time earned.

The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, maintaining, and removing temporary work zones, including warning signs, traffic cones, and rumble strips, in accordance with ATSSA and DOT regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and maintain work zones, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
  • Load and unload work zone equipment from the company vehicle.
  • Drive the company vehicle to and from job sites in a safe manner.
  • Complete all paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Wear and maintain proper personal protective equipment (PPE) as per Wright's policy.
  • Read and comprehend Wright's safety manual and employee handbook.
  • Report directly to a Field Supervisor.
  • Perform other job duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Reliable communication to receive work schedules.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions and tolerate varying climates.
  • Pass a drug screen prior to employment and maintain a drug-free status.
  • Ability to stand throughout the shift and perform hand and arm movements.
  • The position does not allow for frequent breaks.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • Physical capability to perform all flagging duties.
