Job Summary

DCI Donor Services is seeking a highly skilled Organ Recovery Surgeon to join our team. As a key member of our donor recovery team, you will be responsible for surgically recovering abdominal organs for transplantation and research in donor hospitals throughout our service area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Surgically recover abdominal organs for transplantation and research in donor hospitals.
  • Assume on-call responsibilities to ensure adequate coverage for donor activity.
  • Support compliance with CMS and UNOS regulations, as well as AOPO standards and other medical/legal requirements.
  • Provide education and training to OPO staff and hospital personnel involved in the donation process.
  • Serve as an advisor between the organization and hospital staff during organ procurement.
Requirements
  • Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO), board certified in general surgery with a current licensure.
  • 5+ years of experience in organ recovery and transplantation, medical management of organ donors, and/or critical care.
  • Availability for weekdays and weekends of donor recovery call.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills and analytical problem-solving skills.

Compensation details: $250,000-$350,000 Yearly Salary
