Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Ultrasound Technician to join our team at Prime Physicians, PLLC. As a Medical Instrument Technician for Ultrasound, you will be responsible for operating complex sonographic equipment to perform a variety of examinations, including routine and highly specialized procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Independently operate ultrasound equipment to perform examinations, ensuring that patient history and anatomical area of interest are consistent with the exam(s) requested.
  • Conduct a range of examinations, including abdominal scans for tumors, cysts, abscesses, hematomas, and inflammatory lesions, as well as evaluations of the abdominal aorta for aneurysm and/or dissection.
  • Perform neck, carotid artery, leg vein, and artery examinations, as well as assist radiologists during invasive procedures and conduct gynecological ultrasound exams.
  • Perform quantitative Doppler measurements to determine blood flow profiles when indicated, and utilize color flow/power Doppler to evaluate areas for vascular patency/pattern.
  • Hold a current and valid ARDMS license with advanced disciplines, including two of three licenses in Abdominal, OBGYN, and RVT, and maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Bring a minimum of two (2) years of current work experience in specialized modality to the role.
Requirements

Working Conditions

This is a full-time position with a 20-hour workweek, including on-call shifts with a 30-minute response time. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
