Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled General Ledger Accountant to enhance our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will utilize their accounting expertise to support our expanding organization while promoting the joy of gardening. If you are an organized and team-oriented accounting professional with a passion for sustainable practices, we would be delighted to consider your application. This is a full-time, on-site role.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute month-end closing tasks, including journal entry preparation, account reconciliations, and analysis of financial statements.
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure accurate and timely accounting of all transactions.
- Assist in preparing audit requests for semi-annual and year-end reviews, addressing inquiries as necessary.
- Contribute to the development of process enhancements and automation initiatives to improve accounting efficiency.
- Identify and implement internal controls over financial reporting as required.
- Communicate and assist in executing opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Complete additional tasks and projects as assigned by management.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is mandatory.
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in industry or public accounting at a senior level is preferred.
- Experience in public accounting and e-commerce is advantageous.
- Comprehensive understanding of full-cycle accounting.
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced internet environment and quickly adapt to new software.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to work at a desk and use a computer for extended periods.
- Competitive salary range of $60,000 - $85,000.
