Chief Fundraiser

Boys & Girls Clubs of Whatcom County is seeking a highly skilled and experienced VP of Resource Development to lead our fundraising efforts. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive fund development program, managing a team of development professionals, and building relationships with major donors and prospects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a strategic fundraising plan to meet annual and long-range goals
• Manage and lead a team of development professionals to achieve fundraising objectives
• Build and maintain relationships with major donors and prospects to secure significant contributions
• Develop and implement effective fundraising strategies, including grant writing, special events, and individual giving
• Collaborate with the CEO and other senior leaders to ensure alignment with the organization's overall mission and goals

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in fundraising, development, marketing, and community relations
• Demonstrated experience in managing and implementing a comprehensive fund development program and producing charitable contributions
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with donors, staff, and board members
• Strong organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
• Knowledge of the mission, objectives, policies, programs, and procedures of a non-profit organization
