Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Northwell Health. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating Magnetic Resonance Imaging equipment, preparing patients for exams, and ensuring that all necessary information is obtained for physician diagnosis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate MRI equipment to obtain high-quality images for diagnostic purposes
  • Prepare patients for exams, including explaining procedures and positioning them for optimal image quality
  • Assist in the management of patient flow, ensuring that exams are completed efficiently and effectively
  • Present images to physicians for diagnosis and interpretation
  • Perform minor repairs and calibration checks on MRI equipment as needed
  • Troubleshoot mechanical problems and report major issues to management
  • Assist in patient scheduling and ensure that patients are prepared for exams
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program
  • New York State Department of Health licensure as a Radiologic Technologist
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Registered Technologist (R.T.) certification
  • Minimum of six (6) months experience as a Radiology Technologist
  • Previous MRI experience preferred
