Nurse Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Manager to join our team at River Edge Behavioral Health. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our nursing department, managing resources effectively, and making decisions to ensure the smooth functioning of our crisis service facility.
Key Responsibilities- Provide leadership and direction to nursing staff during crisis situations, ensuring proper delegation of tasks and coordination of care.
- Manage nurse staffing levels, create schedules, and ensure appropriate coverage to meet the needs of the crisis service facility.
- Monitor and evaluate the quality of nursing care provided during crises, implement quality improvement initiatives, and ensure adherence to regulatory standards.
- Ensure that staff are properly trained and equipped to provide high-quality care.
- Participate in crisis interventions, assess patient needs, provide clinical guidance to staff, and ensure a safe and therapeutic environment for patients in crisis.
- Develop and implement training programs for nursing staff on crisis management, de-escalation techniques, and specialized interventions for patients in crisis.
- Work closely with other healthcare professionals, such as psychiatrists, social workers, and behavioral staff, to coordinate care and support interdisciplinary teamwork during crises.
- Contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to crisis management, emergency protocols, and patient safety within the facility.
- Maintain open communication channels with nursing staff, patients, families, and other healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care and effective crisis resolution.
- Must have an active Georgia RN license.
- At least 5 years working as an RN with at least 2 years in a supervisory position.
- At least 2 years working in a behavioral health/intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) or related field.
- Must have good computer skills and excellent communication skills.
