The RN is expected to exhibit the necessary knowledge and skills to cater to patients across all age demographics, from pediatrics to geriatrics.
It is essential for the individual to possess a comprehensive understanding of the principles of growth and development throughout the life span, as well as the capability to evaluate data that reflects the patient's condition. The RN must interpret relevant information to ascertain each patient's needs based on their age and specific requirements, ensuring the provision of care as outlined in departmental policies and procedures.
This role is classified as PRN.
Qualifications
1. Must hold a current Registered Nurse license in the Commonwealth of Virginia, or possess Compact licensure that includes Virginia, and maintain good standing with the Board.
2. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of employment.
3. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required within one year of employment.
