Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist II to join our team at Atrium Health. This role requires a strong foundation in surgical technology and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in maintaining a safe and sterile environment during surgical procedures
  • Prepare and organize supplies and instruments for surgical procedures
  • Collaborate with the Registered Nurse circulator to ensure smooth operation of the surgical suite
  • Monitor and document sterilization activities
  • Participate in educational opportunities to increase competency and meet personal needs and goals
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of surgical technology or successful completion of military training program for Surgical Technology or Operating Room Specialist
  • 5 years of operating room experience in surgical technologist role
  • Current certification required
Physical Demands

This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with occasional intermittent noise and exposure to conditions such as dust, fumes, and chemicals. The ability to communicate and write is essential, as well as the ability to lift and support the weight of 35 pounds.
