Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ultrasound Technologist to join our team at Kings County Hospital Center. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality ultrasound scans and providing excellent patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform ultrasound scans with a high level of theoretical, practical, and technical knowledge and skills.
  • Provide accurate and reliable results to clinicians and patients.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and staff in a friendly, clear, and effective manner.
  • Assess, implement, and document examination findings on the applicable worksheet for all procedures in line with FRSL protocols and Radiologists.
  • Ensure the safe use of expensive ultrasound equipment and supervise junior staff/students.
  • Identify medical consumable stock that requires ordering and perform basic quality assurance/checks on equipment.
  • Communicate complex scan findings, including malignancy and severe fetal abnormalities, to Radiologists and Clinicians in line with departmental protocols.
Requirements
  • BSc in Diagnostic Imaging or Dip in Medical Ultrasound.
  • One year experience in Ultrasound/Sonographer in a facility required.
  • AHA BLS required.
