Job Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Special Needs Childcare Staff member at South Washington County Schools (SoWashCo). This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about creating an inclusive environment for all children.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and lead engaging activities and games for students with a focus on inclusion and socialization.
  • Develop and implement inclusion-based initiatives to promote a positive and supportive environment.
  • Take attendance, communicate with parents/guardians, and maintain a safe and clean environment for our students.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to provide exceptional support and mentorship to students with additional needs.
  • Participate in regular staff leadership meetings to ensure seamless program operations.

Requirements:

  • Some formal education experience is preferred but not required.
  • One of the following qualifications: High school diploma with 120 hours of relevant training and one year of experience in a related field, Associates Degree with 6 months of experience in a related field, or Bachelors Degree with 3 months of experience in a related field.
