Job Summary

CarMax is seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join our team. As an Automotive Technician, you will be responsible for inspecting, reconditioning, and repairing vehicles to ensure they meet our high standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and diagnose vehicle problems to determine the necessary repairs
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes and tire rotations
  • Repair and replace vehicle parts, including engines, transmissions, and brakes
  • Work with other technicians to solve complex technical problems
  • Follow and promote our high standards of safety, cleanliness, and organization

Requirements:

  • Experience in one or more of the following: engine repair, steering and suspension, brakes, heating and air conditioning
  • Knowledge of health and safety compliance
  • Manual dexterity and physical stamina, lift heavy objects, and walk and stand for extended periods of time
  • Manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Good communication skills and attention to detail
  • Possession of a valid driver's license
  • Where required by State/Local law, maintain ASE Certifications*
