About the Role

Penn Medicine is committed to delivering exceptional patient care and advancing medical research. As a Clinical Nurse 2 in the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU), you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to critically ill patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver exceptional patient care through the application of the nursing process and accept accountability for the nursing care of assigned patients.
  • Collaborate with the interprofessional healthcare team to facilitate the coordination of care across the continuum.
  • Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives to identify potential and actual problems and opportunities to provide care that is safe, timely, efficient, effective, and equitable.
  • Evaluate and integrate best current evidence with clinical expertise and patient and family preferences and values for the delivery of optimal healthcare and system effectiveness.
  • Effectively engage in the process of cooperation, coordination, and collaboration in an effort to provide for safe, quality outcomes for patients within inter and intra-professional teams.
Requirements
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Registered Nurse - PA licensure
  • Bachelor of Arts or Science degree
  • More than 15 months relevant professional nursing experience and completion of the Nurse Residency Program, if applicable
