Job Summary

Chicago Cutting Die Co is seeking a skilled Tool and Die Maker to join our team in the Tool Room. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for setting up and operating manual machinery, tools, and equipment to produce high-quality dies and sub-assemblies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Setup and operate manual machinery, including grinders, lathes, and mills, to produce dies and sub-assemblies
  • Disassemble, inspect, assess, repair, and sharpen dies per specifications
  • Assemble dies and sub-assemblies per drawings
  • Perform final inspection of all parts produced from tools
  • Conduct equipment maintenance and documentation as assigned by a Supervisor

Requirements:

  • Five (5) years of tool and die experience, at a minimum
  • TMA certificate or equivalent
  • Ability to read blueprints
  • Ability to use all Tool Room measuring equipment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Setup and operate CNC equipment
  • Ability to reverse engineer components

Working Conditions:

  • Ability to lift 35lbs

Compensation:

$28 - $35 / hr
