We are seeking a Part-Time Dentist to work at a county jail in the Steuben County Area. This is a unique opportunity to provide patient care in a public health setting, while making a positive impact on the community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform dental services within designated hours of operation.
  • Utilize universal precautions for patient dental care.
  • Examine, diagnose, and treat patients consistent with professional standards and defined scope of service.
  • Document patients' needs for every dental encounter using the SOAP format, update the patient health history, and obtain patient consent prior to delivering care.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and respect patients' rights to privacy, in accordance with accepted confidentiality practices for incarcerated individuals.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited school of Dentistry Medicine (DDS/DMD)
  • Experienced clinician preferred
  • Recent graduates encouraged to apply
  • One (1) year of experience in oral surgery preferred
  • Active and unrestricted State Dental License
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Great interpersonal skills
