Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Baker and Packager Associate to join our team at Sam's Club. As a key member of our bakery department, you will be responsible for preparing fresh baked items daily, following recipes and production instructions, and ensuring compliance with food safety standards and sanitation guidelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare bakery department merchandise based on daily production needs by operating baking equipment, following recipes/make-up instructions, and wrapping, labeling, and storing merchandise according to company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety standards, sanitation guidelines, cold chain compliance, and inventory management.
  • Operate, maintain, and sanitize equipment, and demonstrate understanding of product and layout execution.
  • Leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement.
  • Ensure commitment to operational excellence, maintaining work area according to company policies and procedures, and ensuring quality and date control standards for bakery items.
Requirements
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time while assisting members quickly and accurately.
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to tackle obstacles head-on to ensure each task is completed with excellence.
  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude, smile, greet, and thank members.
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to provide exceptional service to members across the club as needed.
