RESPONSIBILITIES
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:
- A minimum of 7-9 years of experience in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance or a related discipline.
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Familiarity with the oil and gas sector is advantageous.
- Experienced in US monthly reporting and US GAAP accounting practices.
- Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley and other SEC regulations.
- Proficient in using JD Edwards and Hyperion software.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of influencing at all organizational levels.

QUALIFICATION
JOB SCOPE:
The Finance Team in the Continental Europe GeoZone is seeking a Product Line Operation Controller, who will serve as a Business Partner to the assigned GeoZone Product Line Manager (GBM). This role is pivotal in driving business initiatives, growth strategies, and profitability while overseeing overall financial and cash flow management. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership skills and assist the team in organizing and defining objectives aligned with the organization's strategies. This position may require travel within the Continental Europe GeoZone up to 30% of the time.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct regular reviews to understand the factors influencing product line performance, monitor results against forecasts, and recommend corrective actions as necessary.
- Prepare monthly management report commentaries on variances compared to prior results and forecasts or budgets.
- Review non-performing sub-product lines by country, collaborating with Business Managers to develop detailed action plans for profitability or potential suspension of operations.
- Collaborate with Operations teams to prepare comprehensive forecasts and budgets for the specific product line, ensuring forecasting tools are regularly updated.
- Conduct headcount reviews with Business Managers and monitor personnel expenses as a percentage of revenue.
- Gain an understanding of the organization of the Product lines at both GeoZone and Country levels.
- Manage operating cash flow by monitoring billing and unbilled receivables KPIs for the specific product line, analyzing factors driving upward and downward trends.
- Understand the potential P&L impact of dispute resolutions and prepare action plans and follow-up reports.
- Review revenue recognition policies and ensure sustainability in each contract or agreement.
- Oversee inventory asset management by coordinating with Operations to ensure physical counts and reconciliations are performed in accordance with policy. Regularly review asset and inventory utilization, analyze levels, and highlight potential risks of excess. Review slow-moving inventory levels and address inventory discrepancies.
- Participate in all tender review meetings, providing financial insights, reviewing and approving Bid Summary Analyses (BSA), and conducting forensic reviews of ongoing tenders.
- Design and implement reports using business dashboard/scorecard solutions to effectively measure and monitor results against objectives. Undertake ad hoc tasks or projects as required within the area of responsibility.
